Composition of the Council of Veterans and Enlightenment of Bukhara State University
The University is governed by a Collective Agreement between the administration and the University Staff and Student Trade Union Committee for 2017-2019. The trade union committee consists of 10 trade union committees with a total membership of 8,285 members. The trade union committee has 9 presidiums and 32 committee members.
The primary organization operates in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, "On trade unions, their rights and guarantees of their activities", "On labor protection", The Law "On Public Associations in the Republic of Uzbekistan", "On Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations" and other laws regulating the activities of non-governmental non-profit organizations, the Charter of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and sectoral trade unions and this Regulation appropriate work will go on.
The Trade Union Committee for its trade union members:
•respect for the constitutional rights of trade union members, regardless of nationality, gender, age and religion, to work, to choose their work and profession, to create fair working conditions and to be protected from unemployment;
•to increase and use leisure time, which is a means of recovery of human spiritual and physical strength;
•compliance with labor legislation, labor and environmental laws, rules and regulations;
•to conclude collective agreements and contracts for the purpose of strengthening social partnership, to exercise control over their implementation;
•to cooperate with state bodies and public organizations, to adopt laws and other normative acts aimed at protecting the labor, socio-economic and moral rights and freedoms of trade union members, to maintain stability, solidarity and civil harmony;
•introduction of a socially just system of remuneration of labor;
Rights and responsibilities of trade union members:
•membership in a trade union is voluntary. An employee and a student who recognizes and complies with the requirements of the Charter of the Trade Union, as well as pays membership fees, can become a member of the Trade Union;
•to receive and protect the legal assistance of the Trade Union in state, judicial and economic bodies, regardless of the form of ownership, on issues related to labor relations;
•election and election to trade union bodies;
•participate in trade union activities, freely express their views, personally participate in meetings, gatherings and conferences on issues related to their activities and behavior;
•appeal to higher trade union committees;
•to receive vouchers for preferential tariffs for treatment and rest in trade union sanatoriums, sanatoriums, recreation centers, children's health camps.
•The trade union committee, in consultation with the university administration, reviews, discusses and agrees to make the following decisions:
•Improving working conditions, occupational safety and health;
•Employment of university staff and guarantee of social benefits for them;
•Incentives and rewards for staff and students;
•Joint decision-making on other issues of socio-economic nature within the competence of the University;
•Allocation of preferential vouchers for professors, teachers and staff to rest in sanatoriums in the country.
Work done by the trade union committee:
During the work of the trade union committee, low-income employees and students of the university are studied and financial incentives are provided to them in coordination with the university administration. The trade union committee provides financial assistance to students from low-income families of the university on the recommendation of the dean.
Retired seniors who have worked at the university for many years are under the scrutiny of the union committee. Every year, their condition is reported and financial assistance is provided based on financial resources.
At the university, the trade union committee oversees the following activities for the social protection of workers:
•Worker - social protection of employees;
•Labor discipline;
•Occupational safety and health;
•Worker - control over the wages of employees and income tax withheld from work;
• Timely payment of salaries and advances;
•Winter - preparing for the fall season;
•Unjustified expulsion of students from the university;
• Collective bargaining on a quarterly basis;
• Worker - medical examination of employees;
•Deepen spiritual and educational reforms.
In order to ensure compliance with labor discipline, the trade union committee conducts explanatory work with the activists of the committee and answers questions on the spot.
Employees are monitored for timely payment of salaries and advances.
The trade union committee allocates preferential vouchers to sanatoriums and rest homes for employees during their vacations and to restore their health.
The trade union committee regularly monitors the existing canteens at the university, ie the sanitary condition of the kitchens, the quality of the food and the price of the food.
Taking into account the fact that the Trade Union Committee of Uzbekistan pays great attention to spiritual and educational work, we support the policy pursued by the President, preserving the history and architectural monuments preserved by our ancestors. - Carries out explanatory work with the Department of Spirituality and Enlightenment. At the same time, joint work is being done to provide the spiritual and educational room of the university and the dormitory with stands, necessary equipment and literature.
The trade union committee has developed and organized a plan of festive events for all holidays in the country. Employees over the age of 50, 55 and 60 will be awarded in front of the team.
Every year on May 9, in honor of the Day of Remembrance and Respect, the university staff and financial veterans of World War II, international fighters, those who worked behind the scenes and their equivalents, who have worked at the university for many years, receive financial incentives.
Employees, students and students are involved in all kinds of sports, and the winners of the competitions with their teams are awarded valuable prizes.
